Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m a seasoned insurance adviser on a mission. My mission? To transform the way family-owned businesses protect what they’ve built.
With over two decades of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge, empathy and dedication to my role. I’m not simply a general insurance adviser. I’m here to be your trusted partner.
What does that mean?
This means I take the time to fully understand your business so I can assess the risks that your business has. Taking a partnership approach is important to me.
Why? Because I’m not only here when you need to renew your insurance. I’m someone you can consult when considering changes to your business that may impact your insurance needs. And I’m here to help you, in the unfortunate event that you have to make a claim.
My goal is to ensure you’re fully supported. I’m genuinely interested in your business’s success and wellbeing.
This is why I like to build long-term relationships. How? By offering a level of service that goes beyond selling you an insurance policy.
How I Got Started
My insurance journey started in 1997. Unsure of what I wanted to do, my decision came soon after my mother grew tired of me watching too much TV. I applied for three roles – two in insurance and one as a legal secretary.
Fate had its say when I was offered all three positions. But it was a Claims Officer role with GIO Reinsurance that caught my attention. And that’s where my love for insurance started.
After GIO Reinsurance closed its doors, I went to Zurich Insurance as a Service Officer, which focused on small business.
My journey continued when I had opportunities with suburban and boutique firms. This expanded my knowledge, as I got to work with larger businesses.
These experiences set a solid foundation for what was to come.
Embracing flexibility
After starting a family, I had a desire to balance family life with my professional aspirations. My quest for flexibility became paramount.
Inspiration came when I attended an insurance function. After a chat with another adviser at that function, SLS Insurance Solutions was born.
